There was no possibility of taking a walk that day.

No, I am not reading Jane Eyre, but there was really no possibility of taking a walk today, it has been cold and rainy for most of the day. Instead I have stayed in, being productive for a change and it feels good. I took a rest to read and sip some tea and thought, why not get into some decent clothes and take some pictures? I had spent all day in my pyjamas and it was nice to get a little dressed up, put some make-up on and make the effort to take my own pictures. My crippled tripod and not too good photographer skills made it a difficult mission, so excuse the poor results. I have only taken my own photos a few times, but it has gotten me to appreciate more those bloggers taking their own pictures, especially The Clothes Horse, that girl is so talented!

So how was Easter? I have had to work a couple of days during the holidays, so I didn't have any big plans, other than to eat some Cadbury's cream eggs I bought in London a month ago and was saving for this weekend! Yummy!! I am enjoying one as I type right now, nibble, nibble.

I stole my mum's shoes for these pictures, I am not sure how old they are, but they look better than many of my shoes, even newer pairs. If I found this pair of shoes in a vintage store, I would most certainly buy them. They're great!

When I look inside my mother's closet it makes me realize what a mess mine is. She has great clothes, and everything is arranged so neatly, a drawer for belts, shelves with sweaters perfectly folded and sorted out by colours, and the clothes are in such good condition. I, on the other hand, have quite a few unworn pieces in my closet, I am always running late because I can't find the tights that go with this skirt or the belt for those pants, there are things that I forget I have because they are stuffed at the back of a shelf, I almost never polish my shoes... so much to improve.

Such a wonderful post. Your outfit is charming and perfect for a delightful day of tea & books. Creme eggs are the best. A guilty pleasure of mine as well.

your wardrobe sounds like mine:) stuffed with forgotten things and I`m always looking for something new instead of sorting out the stuff I have. LOVE your mum`s shoes, they`re really timeless, it`s difficult to find shoes like that now.
