Quick fix or investment piece?

It has been silent around here for a while... The thing is, something is feeling off, I know exactly what it is but I don't have the willpower to change it. I have noticed that when I lived in Barcelona, my blog was all about having fun, with my clothes, with the places where I took the photos... But now my posts are somewhat sad, I am either whining about being stuck here, or happily traveling around Europe. This is obviously one of the whining posts, miserable weather to boot.

Quick fix o investment piece? (esto no se como decirlo en castellano...)

.....................

Since I am not in high spirits, let's concentrate on the outfit. I got this trench coat this Saturday, during a retail therapy session. It might come as a surprise, especially considering that I live in a super rainy place, but this is my first trench coat. Actually it is not. I was forced to wear one as part of my school uniform, and I hated it. This hate has gone on over the years, until last season, I started looking at trench coats differently... :) And so came the big question, do I invest my money in a good quality piece that I will treasure and pass on to my children, or do I just get a quick fix in any high street shop?
Well I spent a while thinking about this one, I even checked out the trench coats at Burberry, just to see what the real deal is, I looked and looked in different shops... and what do you think I did?

Quick fix or investment piece?

................
I bought this cute little trench in Zara for 50 euro!!! I figured, since my trench coat love is a recent discovery, I should try this one first and decide if it's just a fling or we really have potential!

I promise the next post will be one of the happy ones, which means I have a small trip planned for the weekend! Thank god I didn't sabotage my bank account and got my fix at Zara!

Gabardina/Trench: Zara // Gorro/Hat: Bimba&Lola // Guantes/Gloves: very old, my mum's // Medias/Tights: Calcedonia // Botines/Booties: Camilla's

You look darling! Such a versatile little trench. I like how the sleeves are easily adjustable. Anyway it looks very nice paired with your gloves and hat. Your mum has great style.

Besos!!
