Ana Martin del Hierro is a very talented woman, excelent architect and designer, Production Supervisor at the Staatsoper in Vienna. She is also a great friend and constant inspiration for me. Sensitive, creative, passionate, she proves that with hard work and determination everything is possible.

When she told me that she was creating her first collection and that she would be the invited designer at Combinat, I booked a plane ticket to Vienna that very moment, I had to see it! I wanted to share that adventure with her, even if it was just for a few days. Once I heard her speak about her designs, about the happiness she felt when she saw a woman try one of her dresses on, about her plans for the future of Martin del Hierro, it became clear to me. Ana will achieve with her designs anything that she sets her heart on.

I offered to "model" (note how I use inverted commas, because it was more like putting her designs on and trying very hard not to look like a scared rabbit in at least some of the photos, posing is really not my thing...) three dresses that she still hadn't photographed for her catalogue. It was lot's of fun and I think they turned out very nicely, you can check out all of her designs on her web page. In case you were wondering, I most certainly did buy a Martin del Hierro dress, but that's a different story, and a new post! :)
