Here comes the bride >> Ermita de Santa Ana

Bueeno, vale, es mentira, ¡no me he casado!

So how was your weekend people? Mine was quite uneventful, oh! but I almost forgot! I got married this weekend!! Congratulations to me! I know you must have millions of questions like: Who is the (un)lucky man? Is that a meringue on the top of your head? Didn't you just say you were single less than two weeks ago on this post?
Well, the truth is I didn't get married, nor do I plan to in a near future, not even a far future really...well who knows, actually there haven't been many candidates lately, unless... will you marry me??
............
OK, I get it...
Jokes aside, I did go to a wedding this Saturday and wearing a meringue shaped fascinator on my head, that is true! So after going to the hairdresser's (of course I didn´t style my hair, you know I am not very talented like that) I ran to this little church next to my house and a friend of mine took these pictures for me (Thanks!!).  Miren is the sixth photographer/friend participating in maïu, I tell you, this blog is a growing family!

This dress is a favourite of my wardrobe, it always comes to my mind when I have a special dinner or event. This time I paired it with my new sandals, a vintage silk purse and the meringue headpiece. It might not be the typical wedding outfit but it did the trick for me. So how do you dress for weddings? I think it is fair to say that in Spain people tend o go a little over the top with their outfits, how is it in your countries? Please do tell!!!

Vestido/Dress: Sandro // Sandalias/Sandals: Comptoir des Cotonniers // Tocado/Fascinator: Lukita // Bolso/Bag: Vintage

haha. You're hilarious!

Great outfit for a wedding. The sleeves are just darling. I think more people should wear hats these days so of course I love yours!

For some reason in the U.S. people say it's poor taste for guests to wear any color resembling white to a wedding. I never understood that. I don't think anyone would be confused about who the bride is. haha.

Sthephanie!Glad you found the story funny!
You're right about the colour, in Spain wearing white is also considered to be bad taste, but there were more girls wearing nude or pale pink, so I wasn't the only one :)
